Cixin Waldorf High School

The story of creating CiXin Waldorf school can be traced back to the year 1990 when the founder, Ms. Su Chang, first encountered Waldorf education. In 1996, Ms. Chang started to transform CiXin kindergarten by adopting the Waldorf model. In 1999, she again ventured into extending Waldorf education to primary education and initiated an experimental education project. This school then became the first charter school in Taiwan in 2002 with a contract signed between Yilan County government and the Anthroposophy Education Foundation. ince then, CiXin has frequently earned the highest grade in governmental inspection for educational institutes. In 2012, we opened our high school classes with students’ registration temporarily under another public school. Then in 2015, CiXin was restructured as a 12-year chartered Waldorf school while the kindergarten remained private. Ms. Su Chang, the founder, is listed as the host of this chartered project.
