Escola Waldorf - A Oliveira

Escola Waldorf a Oliveira is an elementary school based on Waldorf pedagogy, whose vision is to awaken in children a spontaneous desire to learn, a spirit of inquiry and a willingness to engage in creative activity. We place special emphasis on the integral development of the individual, namely their intellectual, artistic and social capacities, valuing rhythm and contact with nature.

Licensed by the Ministry of Education from the 1st to the 9th grade, we operate the 1st, 2nd and 3rd cycles of schooling. In addition to Portuguese, Mathematics and Environmental Studies, the curriculum also includes Painting, Drawing, Music, Handcrafts , the foreign languages English and German, Physical Education, Eurythmy, Choir and Theater.

This project began in 2008 with a group of 8 children, formed by a non-profit association and made up of the strength and presence of parents and teachers. They have been and continue to be the driving force behind the school's management and operation. We currently embrace a group of 130 children!

Our aim is to provide children and young people with the foundations for their moral development and the exercise of their freedom, trying to support each of them in reaching their full potential through their own talents.
