The fifth and last "Waldorf 100" film, #KidsOnTech, looks at childhood in the digital age and the responsibilities of adults. The film, which is primarily aimed at parents, is primarily supported by aspects of Waldorf education, without putting the education itself in the foreground. Instead, the technological revolution that we are living through is depicted with examples from several continents and focuses on the ambivalent and challenging relationship between digital technology and child development. With this and its modern visual language, #KidsOnTech strikes a resonant chord with the times, and this surely also has something to do with the fact that the film offers neither patent remedies nor doomsday scenarios, but instead invites a dialogue about what really matters now.

Since its official release in early July 2021, #KidsOnTech has won first prize for direction (Paul Zehrer), and production (Henning Kullak-Ublick), at several international documentary and "art" film festivals and has received several nominations

The film can be shown as an "educational screening" at schools or other educational institutions. Please contact Henning Kullak-Ublick via E-Mail.

Further information about the film can be found here.

"Becoming" is the third film in a series of short films produced on the occasion of the centenary of Waldorf Education under the direction of the award-winning Californian documentary filmmaker Paul Zehrer, and which provide an insight into the inclusive diversity of Waldorf Education under the most diverse cultural, social, religious and economic conditions around the globe. No age has a deeper impact on the whole of life than the first years of childhood. "During those first seven years, children develop their bodily foundation for life. They explore and experience the world with their senses and through meeting the other. These early encounters in life have a deep influence and long lasting effect on the making of their own being,” says Clara Aerts, coordinating member of IASWECE and co-producer of the film, which was shot in the USA, Israel, Japan, India, South Africa, Guatemala, the Czech Republic, Switzerland and Germany. "The experiences that we make possible - or withhold - for our children at this age form the most elementary basis for their further lives and thus ultimately for the future of humanity.” , and which provide an insight into the inclusive diversity of Waldorf Education under the most diverse cultural, social, religious and economic conditions around the globe. After the great success of part 1 of our film "Learn to Change the World", the second part deals with encounter, engagement and inclusion: learning that goes beyond merely accumulating information can be understood as an individual way to seek the truth. One focus is the encounter across social, religious and ethnic barriers, as exemplified by the Oakland Community School for Creative Education, located in a social focus point in California, a Jewish-Arabic Kindergarten and the Parzival School Center in Karlsruhe.

The film "Learn to Change the World" shows people from around the world who work on the big pedagogical tasks of our time based on Waldorf/Steiner pedagogy. It is the first of more to come which aim to show concrete approaches to these tasks. waldorf-100.org/en
