Founded in 1986, the Libera Scuola Waldorf of Palermo currently includes the state-recognized Early Childhood section (4 kindergarten groups) and the elementary and grade school classes from 1 to 8 (the primary school is also state-recognized). At the end of the school year, a summer camp takes place.

In the autumn of 2022, we will open an additional kindergarten in another part of the city, it will welcome the littlest children from 12 to 36 months old.

The School is run by a non-profit association. The Association brings together parents, teachers, collaborators, and friends of Steiner/Waldorf education in a common experience that is both educational and social. The Associazione Libera Scuola Waldorf Palermo, which started with a kindergarten and developed into a school is at home in one of the older neighborhoods of the Sicilian capital Palermo.

We are also planning on starting a teacher training (3 years, part-time, Early Childhood and Classes 1-8 ) from January 2023.
